Spirit Island Pan

Description

It is easy to see why Spirit Island on Maligne Lake is one of the most photographed places in the world. The island, which is actually connected by a shallow strip of land except when the lake is flooded, sits in Maligne Lake in Jasper National Park in the Canadian Rocky Mountains. It is stunning any time of the day, and especially late in the afternoon as in this photograph. Tourists can take a tour boat to this area of Maligne Lake, which stops and allows time for viewing and photographing the breathtaking scenery.

Exif: F Number: 13, ExposureTime: 100/2500 seconds, ISO: 100, FocalLength: 20.00 mm, Model: Canon EOS 40D
